Fall at Lake Tahoe!

Fall is beautiful in Tahoe. We have recently had lots of rain and the trails are fantastic. Us mountain bikers call them “powder days!” It’s a great time to buy instead of ski lease too with the historic low interest rates, incredible prices, and great inventory. Our number of escrows is hovering around 217 escrows…we haven’t seen this in years! Two years ago our number of escrows hovered around 95! 15 Tahoe lakefronts have sold so far this year (compared to 11 last year at this time), and 7 more are in escrow. Last year the highest price was $7.75 million, and this year there have been 6 that have sold between $10 million and $12 million.  Click on the link for more information about Lake Tahoe real estate.

As we prepare for the colder winter months ahead, here are some winterizing tips.

Remember to drain sprinklers, turn off the water in your house and antifreeze the sinks and toilets. If you are planning on being away from your

home, make sure the thermostat is set at at least 55°. Bring in your deck furniture and set up a snow removal service if needed. Have your boat winterized and stored. Get the fireplace ready and start thinking about waxing your skis!
