Forbes recently featured an article listing America’s Most Expensive Zip Codes.
The article says that Los Angeles has previously been the most expensive place to own real estate in the U.S., but the “new hot spot for multimillion-dollar mansions is Duarte, CA 91008.” The editorial goes on to talk about Duarte and then lists the 500 most expensive zip codes in the U.S. Listed among the 500 most expensive places to live were Tahoe City, CA and Tahoma, CA!
According to Forbes, Tahoe City is ranked #445 for most expensive real estate in the U.S. The median home price is $662,679, the median price change is -6%, the average days on market is 338, the inventory includes 172 properties, and the median household income is $54,545. Tahoma, CA is ranked #460 on the list. According to Forbes, the median home price is $623,223, the median price change is -18%, the average days on market is 162, the current inventory is 71 properties, and the median household income is $50,270. This featured article goes on to talk about the high end market starting to see a slowing slump. The median price of high-end homes is continuing to go down, but not as much as last year.
